| The House of Blues (HOB) nightclub and restaurant opened in May 2005. Housed in the former Woolworth building on Fifth Avenue and C Street, the region’s newest dynamic entertainment venue features 31,000 square feet of space, three bars, an upscale private club and a 215-seat restaurant specializing in southern cuisine. The San Diego site is the ninth club in the national HOB chain and can accommodate 1,019 guests. |

Island Prime is the newest Steakhouse and Seafood restaurant to join the San Diego scene. The 8,000 square foot eatery is two dining restaurants in one; the sophisticated Island Prime and the more laid back C Level. The new 333-seat restaurant is conveniently located five minutes away from the Convention Center and features panoramic skyline views that are to dine for. Nestled on the top of the marina, Island Prime is a stunning location to hold any offsite meeting. In addition to the main dining section, Island Prime’s exclusive private banquet area, the Point Loma Room, accommodates up to 65 guests. |

In November 2005, San Diego will welcome the Stingaree to its meeting venue ensemble. When completed, the lounge and restaurant will be the city’s largest nightclub destination boasting three levels and totaling 22,000 square feet. The Penthouse, Stingaree’s exclusive private dining room will be an excellent spot for hosting receptions and meetings. The upscale restaurant and nightclub will feature a reflection pool, cabanas and private dining booths. Stingaree will be located in a historic downtown warehouse on Sixth Avenue and Island Avenue just steps from the Center. |

Old Town San Diego State Historic Park received a fresh new look when Plaza del Pasado opened in early June. Renamed “Plaza of the Past”, the concession is situated in the center of the park and celebrates San Diego’s rich history. The park features two new restaurants that are prime locations for festive banquets. Several renovations are planned for the area which include expanding the dining and courtyard areas. |
