Last year, Quantum Productions demonstrated their creative brilliance and unique flair for event production at the final night gala for one of the industry's highest profile events, Meeting Professionals International 2005 Professional Education Conference. Now all our clients will have the opportunity to work with this exciting team of professionals in their new capacity as the preferred special event and production design providers for the San Diego Convention Center. The San Diego based company has 20 years of industry experience in event production and is one of the largest and best known decor companies in Southern California.
Staff members are conveniently located on-site and are considered the “one-stop shopping” source for creating the perfect themed event. Quantum is unique because they own a substantial amount of the inventory used for decor. This cuts out the middle man allowing them to keep costs down. They also have the ability to build their own props and set designs to achieve the perfect effect.
“Typically a client will have a general idea of what they want. We’ll sit down with them and brainstorm together to come up with a concept,” said Jessica Schwartz, Sales Manager for Quantum. Whether you’re in the mood for a tropical night beach party; a hip, sophisticated speak easy theme; or a Cirque-style production, Quantum takes special care in creating and designing an event that best fits the needs of the client.
This month, Quantum worked with the San Diego Association of Realtors on a “Neighborhoods Then and Now” theme. They built a dramatic 40 foot skyline of San Diego that depicted various points of interest and landmarks that turned out to be the centerpiece of the show. Among other things, they added a photo element using historical photos from the San Diego Historical Society lending an air of authenticity.

Quantum also created the highly successful closing night gala for Meeting Professionals International held at the Center in 2005. The Convention Center’s impressive Sails Pavilion was decked out in grand style and over 2,000 industry professionals attended “An Evening at the MPI Supper Club.” The event was inspired by the glamour and elegance of a 1950’s supper club, but with a style and sophistication all of its own. The 90,000 square foot Sails Pavilion came alive with a fabulous art-deco design, superb dining and live entertainment.
