A key member of the Center's sales staff has been promoted to Associate Vice President of Sales.  Andy Mikschl, who previously served as Director of Sales, will take on broader responsibilities for the overall management and development of marketing strategies focusing on primary market business.  Primary business includes all national conventions, trade shows and corporate meetings. 

A respected industry veteran, Mr. Mikschl has 15 years combined hospitality and convention center sales experience.  Prior to working for the Convention Center, he worked for the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau as a national sales manager.

With over 20 years of experience under her belt, Ms. Gore was previously a sales manager for the Washington Convention and Tourism Corporation and responsible for generating business at the 2.3 million square foot Washington DC Convention Center.  Most recently, she served as the Director of Business Development for International Entertainment Production – Meeting Presentation Group. 

She serves as the Vice Chair, IAEM International Board of Directors/Services Board and on the sponsorship committee of PCMA, Capital Chapter.  She will work out of the Eastern regional office in Alexandria, VA and can be reached at (703) 647-6883 or at lenay.gore@sdccc.org.
