 The San Diego Convention Center Corporation has promoted Andy Mikschl to Senior Vice President of Sales effective July 1, 2007. Mr. Mikschl previously served as the corporation's Associate Vice President of Sales. In his new role, he will serve as a member of the senior management team and have complete management responsibility for the overall day-to-day operations in our San Diego, Chicago and Washington D.C. sales offices. He will also oversee the entire sales team, including the regional vice presidents in the Midwest and Eastern offices and the associate vice presidents in our San Diego office.
He will report to the corporation's executive Vice President of Sales, Sandra Moreno.
A respected industry veteran, Mr. Mikschl has 17 years combined hospitality and convention center sales experience. He joined the corporation in 2004 as a director of sales and was promoted to associate vice president of sales a year later. Prior to that, Mr. Mikschl was a national sales manager at the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau. He is a member of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE formerly known as IAEM) and the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) .
