Whether it’s more time to conduct business, browse the exhibit floor or enjoy sun-sational San Diego, busy attendees can bypass long airport check-in lines with BAGS, Inc. - a full-service, multi-airline remote skycap service now available to our clients upon request in the Convention Center lobby.

Beginning on the day of departure and at least three hours prior to their scheduled flight, convention and trade show attendees flying with a BAGS affiliated airline - Alaska, American, Continental, Delta jetBlue, or United - can use this unique on-site customer service program to check their luggage and receive airline-issued boarding passes while still inside the Convention Center. The cost is $10 per ticketed passenger.

Not only is this remote skycap service convenient, it’s also reliable. BAGS, Inc. will make sure our guests’ luggage arrives at the airport safely and on time for the return trip home. “It’s been very successful,” said Director of Event Services Ron King, adding that during the Mary Kay Cosmetics Leadership Conference in January, BAGS, Inc. broke all previous records since the service began last fall.

“It’s something most clients appreciate because it makes it so much easier for their attendees,“ King said. “And it helps build attendance because guests don’t need to leave early for the airport.”

BAGS, Inc. is the first remote skycap service to be approved by the TSA (Transportation Security Administration). Headquartered in Orlando, the company uses proprietary, secure technology to ensure accurate, safe and secure processing and undergoes the same TSA screening process as luggage checked by passengers at airline ticket counters. All BAGS agents are thoroughly trained and credentialed to issue boarding passes and print bag tags on demand.
