For an impressive seventh time in 12 years, readers of Facilities and Destinations Magazine, a top meeting industry publication, have selected the San Diego Convention Center to receive the prestigious 2007 Prime Site Award.

Presented annually, the Prime Site Award honors convention venues for overall excellence and quality of service provided. Recipients are selected based on the opinions of association executives and national meeting planners.

In an industry as highly competitive as the convention industry, awards such as the Prime Site Award distinguish recipients from the competition because they are voted on by industry professionals whose business influences a facility’s overall success.

Since opening for business nearly 18 year ago, the San Diego Convention Center has garnered 31 awards in all for its outstanding facilities, world-class service and exemplary staff. In addition to this latest honor, we previously earned Prime Site Awards in 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000 and 2004.
