Sylvia Harrison,

Sylvia, a valued member of the Convention Center sales team for more than a decade, was recently promoted from director of national accounts to director of sales. In her new position, Sylvia is now responsible for the efforts of the short-term sales team in addition to maintaining her own substantial sales territory.
Sylvia is a 20-year hospitality industry veteran, including 13 years at the Center. She currently serves on the board of the Professional Convention Management Association’s (PCMA) Southwest/Pacific Chapter and is treasurer and newly elected president of the San Diego Chapter of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI). Sylvia is a recipient of the San Diego YWCA Annual Tribute to Women in Industry (TWIN) Award and the newly elected President of San Diego Chapter of HSAMI.
Lucy Lopez,
Director of National Sales

Lucy recently joined the Convention Center sales team as a director on national accounts. A former senior event manager at the Center, Lucy has been in the hospitality industry 16 years, including 13 years with the SDCCC. She is a member of the Convention Industry Council and the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI).
Jaleh Browder,

Jaleh, after joining the Convention Center sales team two years ago as an assistant booking coordinator, was recently promoted to sales associate. In her new position Jaleh is now responsible for booking one and two-day short-term events. An 18-year veteran of the hospitality industry, Jaleh has extensive experience in the tradeshow industry having previously worked as a senior corporate marketing coordinator for GES exposition services and as a project manager for Sparks Exhibits. She is a member of the San Diego Chapter of the California Society of Association Executives (CalSAE).
Lydia Ochoa,

Lydia, whose clients include the annual Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) Convention and Tradeshow, was recently promoted from event manager to senior event manager. Lydia joined the San Diego Convention Center Corporation shortly after our building opened in 1989 and is experienced in all facets of our business. She is a recipient of the San Diego YWCA Annual Tribute to Women in Industry (TWIN) Award.
Lenore Boling,

Lenore recently joined the Convention Center’s Event Services team as an event manager after spending two years in Convention Services. A native San Diegan, Lenore was hired into the Center’s newly created Convention Services Department in 2005 as a convention services coordinator. A year later, she was promoted to convention services manager.
Zahra Johnson,

Zahra joined the Convention Center team in 2006 as an event coordinator and was recently promoted to event manager. She previously worked as a travel coordinator for a law firm and in event management with Revel Productions, a San Diego-based company that provides special event management, training and consulting services. Zahra is a member of the International Special Events Society (ISES).
Gerrica Gray-Johnson,

Gerrica has 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, joining the Convention Center’s Public Affairs team as a community relations specialist in 1998. In November 2007 she assumed her new position as a convention services coordinator where, in addition to assisting clients with convention services, she will continue to oversee the Convention Center’s donations and welcome signage programs.
