Safe Meetings

Your health and safety are our top priorities. We have enhanced our protocols to support the safety and well-being of everyone who walks through our doors.

Destination San Diego

San Diego has among the highest COVID-19 vaccination rates of convention destinations. 87% of eligible San Diego residents have received at least one vaccine dose, and more than 77% are fully vaccinated. See the County's dashboard for the latest statistics.

Beyond our high vaccination rates, we have one of the most experienced event teams in the nation, having supported 24/7 community response efforts in the building for 15 months during the pandemic. SDCC worked directly with County public health, CDC, and other medical experts to train staff, refine protocols, and host people in the building safely and responsibly.

Please see our Reopening FAQs for more information. For additional regional updates, see the San Diego Tourism Authority’s Safe Travel page.

Mask Guidance

In California, unvaccinated people are required to wear face masks in all indoor public settings, including our convention center.

Policies for vaccinated guests vary by event. Our StateCounty and the CDC recommend everyone wear a face mask in indoor public settings, whether you've been vaccinated or not. Individual event organizers may require it.

Certified Protocols

We have industry-leading approaches to cleaning, disinfection, ventilation, employee training and infectious disease prevention.

Our food and beverage partners, Centerplate, earned a hygiene verification label, Rise SAFE, that is specifically for catering operations. Rise SAFE is managed by Centerplate’s parent company, Sodexo, and Bureau Veritas, an independent world leader in testing, inspection, and certification.

We can't wait to safely welcome you to sunny San Diego!
